A United Airlines flight bound for Paris from San Francisco was redirected to Denver because of an engine problem on the Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
Flight 990, which was operated by a Boeing 777-200, had to make an emergency landing at Denver International Airport.
The emergency landing was prompted by an issue reported by the crew regarding one of the aircraft’s engines.
United Airlines confirmed that the landing was successful, with all 273 passengers and the crew of 12 disembarking safely.
Arrangements are being made by the airline to ensure that the journey to Paris continues for the affected passengers.
This incident further compounds the challenges facing Boeing, which has been contending with an ongoing safety crisis.
