Trump Announces Massive June 24 Kickoff and July 4 America Tribute

President Donald Trump announced that the summer-long celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence will begin on June 24 in Washington, D.C. The event will be held at the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair on the National Mall and will start at 7 p.m. EST.

Trump said the opening celebration will feature performances by U.S. Army and Marine Corps military bands, singer Christopher Macchio, and Lee Greenwood, who will perform his famous song “God Bless the U.S.A.” He described the event as a patriotic tribute to America.

The president also said attendees will witness military flyovers involving fighter jets and stealth bombers flown by U.S. military pilots. Trump praised the pilots, calling them among the best and most elite in the world.

Trump further announced a major “Tribute to America” rally on July 4 at the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. The event will also begin at 7 p.m. EST and celebrate the nation’s people, spirit, strength, achievements, and future.

According to Trump, more than 300 members of military bands, orchestras, and ceremonial units will perform patriotic music, American classics, and songs from his personal playlist. He said it will be the largest joint military music and ceremonial performance ever assembled.

The July 4 celebration will also include military flyovers, air shows, and keynote remarks by Trump. He said the event will conclude with what he described as the largest fireworks display in history, marking the historic milestone of America’s 250th anniversary.
