Learjet 55 Crashes Near Philadelphia After Takeoff, FAA Confirms Investigation

Philadelphia, USA – A Learjet 55, carrying two people, crashed near Philadelphia shortly after taking off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport on Friday evening, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The aircraft was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri when it went down around 6:30 p.m. local time. Authorities have yet to confirm the condition of those on board.

The FAA and the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will conduct a thorough investigation into the accident to determine the cause. More details are expected as the inquiry progresses.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, has confirmed that six people were on board the Learjet 55 operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, which crashed earlier tonight in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. According to city officials, one of the passengers was a female Mexican juvenile under 18 who was being transported as a patient.

The FAA has issued a statement about the Jet Rescue Air Ambulance Learjet 55 crash during takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. The agency says only two people were on board, contradicting Philadelphia media reports that claimed the plane had two pilots and four passengers.
