Sony and Apollo Group’s Strategic Moves in Paramount Group Acquisition: Plans to Divest CBS Network, Nickelodeon, MTV, and Paramount Plus Streaming Service Revealed

Sony $SONY and Apollo Group $APO are allegedly considering selling off Paramount Group’s $PARA CBS network and cable channels, which encompass popular brands like Nickelodeon and MTV, as part of their proposed $26 billion acquisition bid.

According to a report from The New York Times, the companies are also contemplating divesting the Paramount Plus streaming service.

Despite having intentions to retain Paramount’s extensive film and TV library along with rights to key characters, Sony and Apollo have yet to formally present this strategy to Paramount or its advisors.
