China Imposes Sanctions on U.S. Lawmaker Jim McGovern

Starting July 31, the Chinese government has announced sanctions against U.S. lawmaker Jim McGovern. The measures include freezing his assets, restricting visa access for him and his family, and barring him from conducting transactions within China.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, McGovern has been involved in numerous activities and statements in recent years that interfere with China’s internal affairs. These actions are said to undermine China’s sovereignty, security, and development interests.
