The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has forged a partnership with the renowned food delivery application, Swiggy, to elevate the dining experience for train travelers. An official memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two entities is scheduled to be signed in the coming days, solidifying their collaborative efforts. As a result of this collaboration, rail passengers will gain the convenience of ordering food online through Swiggy’s platform, seamlessly integrated into IRCTC’s eCatering service.
Initially, this enhanced food delivery service will be made available at 10 major railway stations, providing travelers with a diverse and curated selection of culinary options. This strategic integration of Swiggy into the eCatering platform showcases IRCTC’s commitment to embracing technological advancements and forging impactful partnerships to offer passengers a modern and convenient dining experience during their train journeys. The collaboration not only signifies a significant leap in the use of technology within the Indian railway ecosystem but also reflects a joint effort to provide passengers with a broader array of food choices, thus enhancing the overall travel experience.
This initiative aligns with IRCTC’s broader strategy to leverage digital platforms and partnerships to bring about positive changes in the travel and dining services offered to passengers, emphasizing a customer-centric approach in the evolving landscape of railway hospitality.
