Emergency Evacuation: United Airlines Boeing 737 MAX Encounters Landing Gear Collapse

Passengers aboard a United Airlines Boeing 737 MAX were forced to evacuate when the aircraft experienced a gear collapse upon landing.

United Airlines Flight 2477 (Boeing 737 MAX 8) at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport underwent an evacuation on Friday morning following a left main landing gear collapse during taxiing. The cause, whether from veering off the taxiway or a mechanical issue, remains unclear. A United Airlines representative confirmed the safe evacuation of all 160 passengers and six crew members, with no reported injuries. The FAA will conduct an investigation into the incident.
