During a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized that the United States should refrain from using Taiwan as a tool to contain China. Wang Yi urged the U.S. to cease arming Taiwan and to support China’s peaceful reunification efforts.

Wang Yi expressed China’s hope for the United States to make the right decisions and meet China halfway to foster positive interactions in the Asia-Pacific region. This statement was issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry following the meeting between Wang Yi and Blinken.

In the meeting, Wang Yi criticized the United States for implementing what he described as “endless” measures aimed at suppressing China’s economy, trade, science, and technology. This sentiment was conveyed by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

China called upon the United States to lift sanctions imposed on Chinese companies, as conveyed by Foreign Minister Wang Yi during the meeting with Blinken.

Furthermore, China urged the United States not to shift blame for the Ukraine crisis onto China, highlighting its stance on international matters during the discussion with U.S. officials.

On the other side, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu stated that the placement of military infrastructure by the U.S. or its allies on Shanghai Cooperation Organization territory is unacceptable, according to TASS.
