Vodafone Idea has issued a stark warning: it may not survive beyond FY26 without urgent government support, According to a report by CNBC-TV18.

The telecom company is reeling under massive financial pressure, with total dues amounting to Rs 1.95 lakh crore in Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) and spectrum payments. In a desperate bid for survival, Vodafone Idea has approached the Supreme Court, seeking a relief package of over Rs 30,000 crore.

Notably, the Government of India currently holds a 49% stake in the company, following the conversion of some dues into equity. However, despite the partial bailout, Vodafone Idea’s financial stress continues to deepen.

An urgent hearing is scheduled in the Supreme Court on May 19, which could determine the company’s future.
