US President Donald Trump has expressed his willingness to visit China and meet with President Xi Jinping to talk about major global and economic matters. In a recent interview on Fox News’s Special Report with Bret Baier, Trump said he’s open to the idea of traveling to China if it helps improve cooperation between the two countries.
He stressed the importance of maintaining a strong relationship with China, while also pointing out that the US is actively working to strengthen its influence in the Middle East. Trump spoke about his recent trips to countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. According to him, these visits were aimed at ensuring that these key nations continue their partnership with the US instead of moving closer to China.
“They were leaning toward forming deeper ties with China, but that’s no longer the case,” Trump said. He explained that these countries play a big role in the global balance of power and must remain close allies of the United States.
The president’s remarks come at a time when competition between the US and China is growing, especially in areas like trade, technology, and international alliances. Trump’s openness to meeting Xi shows his continued interest in shaping America’s foreign policy, even as the world watches how these two global powers manage their complex relationship.
