SpaceX plans to send its Starship to Mars by the end of 2026. The mission will carry Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus. Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, shared this update on Friday.

If everything goes as planned, the first human landing on Mars could happen as early as 2029. However, Musk believes 2031 is a more realistic timeline for human missions.

Tesla is also working on Optimus, a robot designed to handle various tasks. In April last year, Musk told investors that Optimus would start working in Tesla factories by the end of 2024.
