Syrian tribal forces have initiated a significant offensive against the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Fighting is ongoing at multiple locations, with the primary goal being the capture of the strategically important town of Gharanij.
Visual reports confirm that Syrian forces have taken control of Diban, located in the Mayadin direction.
In response to the advancing Syrian forces, the SDF has imposed a curfew in the neighboring city of Theban.
Syrian forces have also seized Abu Hamam from the SDF, located in the Mayadin area.
Pro-SDF media outlets confirm that both Abu Hamam and Abu Hardub have fallen to Syrian forces, further intensifying the situation in the Mayadin direction.
So far, Syrian forces have successfully captured three towns.
US forces in Syria have been put on high alert following the swift advance of Syrian tribal groups.
Major SDF reinforcements are advancing from Al-Shaddadi toward Deir Ez Zor and Mayadin, while US reinforcements have also been reported.
