Sword-Wielding Man Arrested After Multiple Injuries in Hainault, London

The Metropolitan Police reported an incident in Hainault, east of London, involving a man wielding a sword, leading to multiple people being attacked and injured.

The authorities were alerted just before 7:00 am (0600 GMT) following a vehicle crashing into a house and reports of stabbing incidents.

According to the police statement, the suspect proceeded to assault other individuals, including two police officers.

The condition of the injured individuals is currently being awaited for an update.

Law enforcement officers managed to apprehend a 36-year-old man at the scene.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Ade Adelekan clarified that the incident does not seem to be related to terrorism.
