Users in the United States are facing problems with T-Mobile and AT&T networks, as reported on Downdetector. The issue, starting on Monday evening, impacted T-Mobile customers nationwide, preventing them from making calls or using basic services. Over 80,000 problem reports were recorded.

T-Mobile stated it was swiftly working on intermittent service impacts caused by a “third-party fiber interruption,” according to Neville Ray, the network chief. Some affected users fixed their signal by toggling airplane mode on and off.

AT&T users also reported issues, and the cause and resolution timeline remain unclear. The affected customers found success in restoring signals by trying the airplane mode toggle. T-Mobile is actively resolving the problem.

AT&T experienced a significant service disruption with a peak of 31,931 outage reports around 4:30 a.m. ET, as per Down Detector data.

Verizon and T-Mobile, major U.S. wireless carriers, encountered over 800 service disruptions, according to reports on the platform.

Smaller providers like Boost Mobile, Consumer Cellular, and Straight Talk also noted comparable outages.

The outage had a notable impact on various cities, including Philadelphia, Chicago, Brooklyn, Houston, New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles, Spokane, and San Ramon.

The widespread nature of these disruptions underscores the scale and geographical reach of the service outages, affecting users across different locations.

People using iPhone 14 noticed a lack of cellular connection, showing an emergency SOS satellite indicator. T-Mobile began addressing the problem late in the evening, but users were understandably frustrated.

FBI, other federal agencies, and the DHS will conduct an investigation to determine if the AT&T outage resulted from a cyber attack.

Meanwhile nationwide pharmacies in the US are facing disruptions following cyberattack on Change Healthcare. Notices from pharmacies nationwide indicate difficulties in processing patients’ orders. 22d Medical Group is currently experiencing temporary pharmacy outage, as per Fox.
