Here are the latest updates on the 2024 elections in India in terms of voter demographics:
– The total number of voters stands at 96.8 crore.
– Out of these, 49.7 crore are male voters and 47.1 crore are female voters.
– There are 1.8 crore first-time voters.
– Additionally, there are 88.4 lakh voters with disabilities and 19.1 lakh service electors.
– A noteworthy statistic is that 82 lakh voters are aged 85 years or older.
– There are 48,000 transgender voters participating in the elections.
– Young voters aged 20 to 29 years old make up 19.74 crore of the electorate.
– Lastly, there are 2.18 crore centenarian voters exercising their right to vote.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stated that the Election Commission is actively addressing the challenges posed by the “4Ms” – namely, muscle, money, misinformation, and violations of the Model Code of Conduct – to ensure the integrity of elections.
The Chief Election Commissioner, in an advisory directed at political parties, emphasized the importance of avoiding personal attacks and offensive language. He delineated specific boundaries in speeches to uphold civility, urging parties to maintain decorum in their rivalry.

The Lok Sabha elections’ third phase is scheduled for May 7, while the fourth phase will take place on May 13.
Phase 5 of the Lok Sabha elections is set for May 20, followed by Phase 6 on May 25, and Phase 7 on June 1.
Counting for all elections will occur on June 4, 2024.
