- The inaugural edition of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise, named ‘SADA TANSEEQ,’ has commenced in Mahajan, Rajasthan.
- The exercise is set to unfold between January 29th and February 10th, 2024.
- The Royal Saudi Land Forces are represented by a contingent of 45 personnel, while the Indian Army contingent consists of 45 personnel from the Brigade of the Guards (Mechanised Infantry).
- The primary aim of the exercise is to train troops from both sides for Joint Operations in Semi-Desert terrain, following Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
- The exercise focuses on sharing best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures for operations in the sub-conventional domain.
- It aims to enhance interoperability, camaraderie, and bonhomie between the participating troops.
- Various activities will be conducted during the exercise, including the establishment of a Mobile Vehicle Check Post, Cordon & Search Operation, House Intervention Drill, Reflex Shooting, Slithering, and Sniper Firing.
- The exercise serves as a platform to strengthen the bond between the two contingents, promoting shared security objectives and fostering bilateral relations between India and Saudi Arabia.
