This suggests that if a larger number of more powerful drones had been employed, the damage could have been significantly greater.
The incident highlights a long-standing issue for the IDF: the inefficiency of using Iron Dome missiles to intercept each UAV, especially amid ongoing missile threats. Currently, there are no cannon systems available for this type of threat, prompting the IDF to potentially reactivate M163 self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and establish mobile rifle units to better address such attacks in the future.
