Trump Announces Reciprocal and Sectoral Tariffs Starting April 2

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that reciprocal tariffs will take effect on April 2. These tariffs will be applied to certain countries in response to their trade policies.

He stated that both reciprocal and sector-specific tariffs would be implemented on the same date. This means different industries may face new import taxes based on their trade relations with the U.S.

Trump also mentioned that these reciprocal tariffs would be introduced alongside new duties on automobile imports. This suggests that the U.S. government is planning broader trade measures affecting multiple sectors.

Additionally, he made it clear that there will be no exemptions for steel and aluminum tariffs. This means all affected countries will have to pay the imposed duties without exceptions.
