Tirupati’s Gold Reserves Value Rises to Rs 11,129 Crore

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has seen a big jump in the value of its gold reserves. As of April 28, 2025, the value of TTD’s gold stands at Rs 11,129 crore. This is based on the current gold price of Rs 98,200 per 10 grams.

TTD has deposited 11,329 kilograms of gold in banks under the Gold Monetisation Scheme. The temple earns an annual interest of 2.5% on these deposits, which brings in about Rs 278 crore every year.

Apart from this, TTD also holds around 500 kilograms of gold in the form of ornaments. These are used for temple purposes and are valued between Rs 400 crore and Rs 450 crore.

In the last one year, the value of TTD’s gold has gone up by nearly 30%. In April 2024, the reserves were worth Rs 8,500 crore. The rise in gold prices has helped boost the overall value significantly.
