Tesla Launches New Cybertruck Variant with Longer Range, Higher Price

Tesla has introduced a new version of its Cybertruck in the U.S., called the Long Range variant. Priced at $69,990, it’s the most affordable among the three Cybertruck models currently available, although it’s still about ten thousand dollars more expensive than Tesla’s older rear-wheel drive model.

This new variant comes with a single-motor rear-wheel drive and can go up to 350 miles on a full charge — that’s 100 miles more than the previous model, making it the longest-range Cybertruck so far. However, it has slightly lower suspension and fewer features compared to the other, more premium versions.

Despite these upgrades, the Cybertruck continues to struggle with sales and quality concerns. Since its rocky debut in late 2023, the model has seen multiple recalls. In March, U.S. regulators recalled almost all Cybertrucks sold in the country, citing issues with the exterior panels — marking the vehicle’s eighth recall.
