Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki India have announced plans to raise vehicle prices due to rising costs of raw materials and operations.
Tata Motors will increase the prices of its commercial vehicles, such as trucks and buses, by up to 2% starting in April. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki has decided to raise car prices by up to 4% next month.
Earlier this year, Tata Motors had already raised commercial vehicle prices by up to 2% in January. Maruti Suzuki, on the other hand, had implemented a 4% price hike in December, which came into effect in January.
