SpiceJet Flight SG 2696 Returns to Hyderabad After Take-Off Due to Technical Alert

On June 19, 2025, a SpiceJet flight (SG 2696) from Hyderabad to Tirupati returned to Hyderabad shortly after take-off. The flight had departed from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad.

According to the airline, the Q400 aircraft showed a warning light related to the rear baggage door (AFT door) after take-off. The light turned on and off intermittently, but there was no change in cabin pressure, and the situation remained stable.

Pilots Took Precaution, Landed Safely

To ensure safety, the pilots decided to return to Hyderabad as a precautionary step. The aircraft landed safely at RGIA, and all passengers were deplaned normally.

SpiceJet also issued a statement saying that the technical alert involved only a warning light and that passenger safety was never at risk.
