Pakistan Alleges Indian Aggression, Warns of Retaliation

Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan has issued a strong statement accusing India of carrying out an aggressive and unprovoked strike that endangered regional peace and violated international norms.

According to Pakistan, the Indian military action has put the lives of thousands of civilians at risk. The government claimed that commercial flights, especially those from Gulf countries, were placed in grave danger due to India’s actions.

A key point in Pakistan’s statement was the alleged targeting of the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project, which they say is a civilian infrastructure project. Pakistan claims this is a clear violation of international conventions that protect such facilities from military strikes.

The Pakistani government has also rejected India’s repeated claims that terrorist camps exist on Pakistani soil. They described these allegations as baseless and part of a larger pattern of misinformation.

Pakistan Issues Warning to India

The statement from the Prime Minister’s Office accused India of “igniting an inferno in the region” and held India responsible for any consequences that may follow. Pakistan called on the international community to take serious note of what it described as “illegal and provocative actions” by India.

In a key development, Pakistan’s National Security Council (NSC) held a two-hour emergency meeting to assess the situation. Following the meeting, the NSC declared that Pakistan will respond.

A formal statement issued after the meeting said:

> “In consonance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, Pakistan reserves the right to respond, in self-defence, at a time, place, and manner of its choosing to avenge the loss of innocent Pakistani lives and the blatant violation of its sovereignty.”

Pakistan’s Armed Forces on Alert

The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that Pakistan’s Armed Forces have been authorized to undertake corresponding actions in response to India’s strikes. This signals a high state of military readiness and the possibility of further escalation.

Call for Global Intervention

Pakistan has appealed to the United Nations and other global powers to recognize the severity of the situation. It urged the international community to intervene and prevent further destabilization in South Asia.
