Israeli officials reportedly believe they are close to hitting all their key targets and hope this will allow them to wind down the military operations against Iran.

However, Iran has told Arab mediators it is not yet ready to back down. It says it feels the need to respond to recent U.S. airstrikes before any de-escalation can happen.
