India and France Sign Rs 63,000 Crore Deal for Rafale Marine Jets

Today, India and France signed a major defence deal worth Rs 63,000 crore. Under this agreement, India will purchase 26 Rafale Marine fighter jets for the Indian Navy.

The deal was signed in New Delhi. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh represented the Indian side, with Navy Vice Chief Vice Admiral K. Swaminathan also present at the signing ceremony.

The Rafale Marine jets, made by French company Dassault Aviation, will boost the Indian Navy’s strength, especially for operations from aircraft carriers. These jets are designed to take off and land from aircraft carriers, making them ideal for India’s naval needs.

This agreement marks another important step in the growing defence partnership between India and France. The deal is expected to support India’s goal of strengthening its maritime security and self-reliance in defence.

Further details on the delivery schedule and training plans for Indian Navy pilots are expected to be announced soon.
