China recently held a rare meeting with Afghanistan and Pakistan to discuss ways to improve peace and cooperation in the region. This meeting comes amid tensions after Pakistan expelled 80,000 Afghans.
The Foreign Ministers of China, Pakistan, and Afghanistan talked deeply about how to strengthen their partnership. They agreed to hold the next meeting in Kabul, Afghanistan, as soon as possible.
China said it will keep helping improve the relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistan. It supports both countries in protecting their sovereignty, security, and national pride.
Both Afghanistan and Pakistan clearly showed their willingness to improve diplomatic relations. They also agreed to send ambassadors to each other’s countries soon.
