Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD shared an update on Wednesday. In April 2025, the company sold 213,325 cars that included smart assisted driving features. These features help make driving safer and easier by assisting the driver with tasks like braking, steering, and lane control.
This single-month sale made up nearly half of all BYD’s smart-driving vehicle sales so far. By the end of April, BYD had sold a total of over 480,000 vehicles equipped with these advanced driving technologies.
A big part of BYD’s car sales in April were smart cars. According to data analysis, around 57% of all BYD cars sold last month had some form of smart driving assistance.
This shows that more and more customers are choosing vehicles with smart features, and BYD is quickly becoming a strong leader in this space.
