A strong earthquake just shook Southern California, including San Diego and Orange County.
Early data from CalTech says it was a 5.1 magnitude quake.
According to the USGS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 13.4 kilometers (8.33 miles).
Tremors were felt across a wide area of San Diego County, extending into Orange County and Los Angeles County to the north.
