Islamic Resistance Strikes Israeli Targets in Support of Gaza: Full Details
Early on Saturday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced via its Telegram channel that it had conducted drone strikes targeting oil refineries in Haifa. This action was taken in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza who are facing severe violence from Israeli forces, which the resistance described as genocidal.
The statement released by the Iraqi umbrella group emphasized its commitment to continuing to strike what it deemed as the strongholds of its enemies, marking this as part of the second phase of resistance against the occupation. The attacks were carried out as a direct response to what the group referred to as Zionist massacres against unarmed Palestinian civilians.
The group concluded its statement with a religious invocation, stating, “And victory is only from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Mighty and Wise.”
In a separate incident on Wednesday, Iraqi resistance forces targeted a significant Israeli airbase, Ramat David, along with the city of Ashdod in the central part of the occupied territories. The first strike utilized drones to hit the airbase, which houses warplanes and gunships crucial to Israeli operations.
The second attack, targeting Ashdod, also utilized unmanned aerial vehicles to strike what the resistance described as a “vital target.” These actions were part of what the resistance termed as “the second phase” of its operations in support of Palestine against the Israeli regime.
Prior to these attacks, the Haifa Airport in the northwestern part of the occupied territories was targeted by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq. The group declared its intention to continue targeting what it perceives as the enemy’s strongholds.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq reiterated its determination to carry out retaliatory operations until Israel ceases what it refers to as genocide in Gaza. These operations have intensified since the onset of a genocidal war launched by the Israeli regime on Gaza in October.
Since the beginning of the offensive, more than 33,000 Palestinians, primarily women and children, have been reported killed by the Tel Aviv regime. The Iraqi Islamic Resistance has been actively conducting operations against targets throughout the occupied territories in response to these events.
