U.S. President Donald Trump criticized The New York Times, former President Joe Biden, and former President Barack Obama in a recent statement about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Trump claimed that no matter how good any potential peace deal he might negotiate, “The Failing New York Times will speak BADLY of it.” He singled out journalist Peter Baker, calling him “Liddle’ Peter Baker,” accusing him of biased reporting and of writing a “terribly written Biography” on Obama.
Trump stated that it was under Obama’s leadership that Russia was able to seize Crimea “without even a shot being fired,” and argued that he himself had nothing to do with the current conflict, except for supplying Ukraine with Javelins “early on.”
“This is Sleepy Joe Biden’s War, not mine,” Trump emphasized, asserting that the war “was a loser from day one” and “should have never happened.” He blamed Biden and Obama for leaving behind a “mess” he is now trying to clean up.
Trump also condemned Russia’s recent attacks on civilian areas, saying, “there is no reason for Putin to be shooting missiles into civilian areas, cities and towns.” He further suggested that alternative strategies like “Banking” or “Secondary Sanctions” might be necessary, warning, “Too many people are dying!!!”
