Stock Market Wealth Concentrated in the Hands of the Wealthiest 1%

The wealth gap in the stock market is widening. The wealthiest 1% of Americans now control more than half of all stocks and mutual funds. Meanwhile, the next 19% of people hold almost all of the remaining shares. This leaves the bottom 80% of Americans with only 7% of the wealth in the stock market.

In simpler terms, the majority of stock market wealth is concentrated in the hands of the richest few, while the rest of the population owns a very small portion.
