India’s IT sector, driven by MSMEs, can achieve a $450 billion services export target next year, said Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. He highlighted the sector’s crucial role in economic growth, with IT and ITES contributing nearly $200 billion to last year’s $340 billion services exports. This year, exports are expected to reach $380-385 billion. Speaking at Nasscom’s ‘Global Confluence 2025,’ Goyal stressed innovation and adaptability as key to maintaining India’s global edge. He praised Nasscom for fostering continuous learning and noted the IT sector’s leadership in AI, machine learning, and quantum computing.
