Suspect in Custody, Investigation Ongoing

The individual was reportedly inside the courthouse and threw a bag in front of Department 9, the courtroom used for arraignments. The suspect was taken into custody by 9 a.m. and transferred from a Santa Maria Police car to a Sheriff’s Office vehicle.
