Amazon is set to hire 250,000 workers for the 2024 holiday season, focusing on roles in transportation and warehousing, just like it did last year.
Sandy Gordon, Amazon’s VP of Global Operations Employee Experience, said, “We believe 250,000 is the right number to help us grow and improve our operations.”
This hiring plan comes as holiday e-commerce sales are predicted to reach a new high of $240.8 billion, a 4.9% increase. Amazon’s hiring rate is still ahead of competitors like Target, which plans to bring on 100,000 workers.
