Promoter group entities and GQG Partners have increased their investments in Adani Group companies during the September quarter, with a total investment of more than Rs 19,000 crore. The promoters invested about Rs 12,780 crore, while GQG Partners added around Rs 6,625 crore.
The promoters of Adani Group increased their ownership in four companies: Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, Adani Enterprises Ltd, Adani Green Energy Ltd, and Adani Power Ltd. However, they sold some of their stake in Ambuja Cements. These investments are worth around Rs 12,778 crore. In Adani Green Energy Ltd, the promoters’ share increased by 3.42% from 57.52% to 60.94%. Key transactions included Hibiscus Trade and Investment buying 20.1 million shares (1.27% of the company) and Ardour Investment Holding buying 26.7 million shares (1.69%). These deals are estimated to be worth Rs 10,310 crore based on an average stock price of Rs 1,903 during the quarter.
The promoters’ stake in Adani Power went up by 2.25%, reaching 74.96%, with an investment of around Rs 5,703 crore. They also spent about Rs 427 crore on Adani Energy Solutions and Rs 626 crore on Adani Enterprises. On the other hand, their stake in Ambuja Cements decreased by 2.76%, down to 67.57%, with the sale estimated at around Rs 4,288 crore.
Rajiv Jain’s GQG Partners increased its investments in four Adani companies, putting in Rs 6,625 crore during the quarter. These companies are Adani Enterprises Ltd, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, Adani Green Energy Ltd, and Ambuja Cement Ltd. However, GQG slightly reduced its stake in Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd and Adani Power Ltd by Rs 22 crore and Rs 35 crore, respectively.
GQG Partners made significant investments in Adani Green Energy, participating in its share offering with Rs 3,390 crore. It also invested Rs 1,784 crore in Adani Energy Solutions and Rs 1,077 crore in Ambuja Cement Ltd, along with Rs 432 crore in Adani Enterprises Ltd. After these transactions, GQG’s stake in Adani Energy Solutions increased to 4.7%, up from 3.4%, and in Adani Green Energy to 5.28%, up from 4.16%. Its stake in Ambuja Cement grew to 2.05% from 1.35%, while its holdings in Adani Enterprises slightly increased to 3.52% from 3.4%.
